How should I store my Indeck Energy Premium Wood Pellets?
|
A:
|
Ideally, Indeck Energy Premium Wood Pellets should be stored up off
the ground in a dry location such as a garage, basement or storage shed.
Wood pellets are very water absorbent. Any direct contact with water
causes the pellet to act as a sponge. Additionally, the bags themselves
are not water tight, containing microscopic holes to allow air out, which keeps the bag from bursting.
If you do store your Indeck Energy Premium Wood Pellets outside, it is critical you keep the protective hood and stretch film intact. Stacking bags on moist dirt or garage surfaces may result in damaged pellets.
